Fantastical Dining

have recently visited a Japanese Seafood Buffet called Minado located in Norristown, PA and let me tell you it was nothing short of an amazing meal. The interior was a feast unto the eyes and whet my appetite for what eventually became the best sushi i have ever tasted. As i walked in, the decor was a very tasteful, modern style. The lighting was suspended from the ceiling in a contrasting geometric grid and was neither too bright nor too dim.The buffet itself was an outcropping from the wall and surrounded the workable kitchen so the freshness was guaranteed because you could see your food being prepared and your sushi being rolled.
The food itself as i have already stated was amazing.I am a new subscriber to the sushi craze and while i did not sample any of the raw fish or other versions of seafood/sushi i did have California rolls that were to die for.The avocado was neither too firm nor too soft, it was perfectly ripe and the flavor was just as wonderful, the rice was appropriately sticky and the crab substitute did not taste at all like a substitute.I was there with my best friend his sister who had more extreme palates and who both tried the rest of the sushi there and each were raving about their selections. You can read my best friend's blog at www.evilje3nyu5.com and see his take on the experience as well as whatever else he decides to ramble on about!

After eating the sushi and various types of salads we moved predictably to dessert. They have the typical bite size pieces of cake in different flavors and i would recommend sampling them all if you have the room in your stomach. I was not disappointed even once as i tried the mocha, the raspberry and the unique tasting green tea flavors. I also ate the coconut cookie because i love coconut in general and it was also quite tasty. All in all the entire visit was wonderful, it was delicious and boy was it worth the drive. While costing a bit more than other buffets the quality of the food more than makes up for the difference in price. So if you are hungry for some great food look up your local Minado and enjoy!
